What are your thoughts on how coralline impacts the rate that corals encrust?
We have all heard that coralline is the glue that holds the reef together and that corallines discourage filamentous and other nuisance algae from settling... But will SPS or LPS encrust faster over a coralline covered substrate than a clean one?

Thanks.

I don't think it matters... I haven't seen any difference from a fresh disc or a purple rock..... Hmmm..
